Scale on Drawings

Each individual drawing that is to scale will have the scale used as a description of how many feet of space is represented by one inch of space on the paper. The scale in this example is given as One Inch = 10 Feet. This is also sometimes given as the ratio of 1:10. The scale will typically look something like this.
