Introduction

Mike Emery is the instructor for this course and fulltime GIS Mapping Specialist for Pennsylvania Rural Water Association.  Mike Emery graduated from Pennsylvania State University 1994 and has a degree in Geography specializing in Cartography, Geographic Information Systems, and Environmental Geography.  Mike worked for the Lancaster County GIS department for 14 years. He then worked 6 years for a engineering firm doing environmental permitting for Marcellus Shale natural gas pipelines for water and wastewater conveyance.  He has now worked for Pennsylvania Rural Water Association for 4 years where he has mapped over 75 water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.  Contact Michael Emery.
