Collection Equipment

In most cases, the equipment used to collect samples is relatively simple and consists of sampling containers such as jars and beakers. Only a few tests require specialized devices used to collect samples. Compliance samples should be collected in accordance with EPA sample collection guidelines.

Sample Preservation

Some samples will need preservation.

Many samples need to be stored at ≤4^oC (≤ 39.2^oF) but not frozen (the temperature at which water is most dense).
