PPE
Acids vary in what PPE is required. When handling acids, goggles or a face shield should be worn at all times to protect the eyes.
If the acid creates vapors, an appropriate respirator with ventilation should be used. This may include a face shield as well.
Gloves, aprons, chemical boots, and other bodily protections should be worn. The type of rubber or material for these protections should be specific to the acid being used. Note: Nitrile gloves may not be sufficient for all acids!
Review the SDS for the acid and concentration being used for specifics on what PPE to utilize.
