The purpose of this course is to familiarize operators in the operation and troubleshooting of the activated sludge process as well as plant design for nutrient removal systems. Much time will be spent on biological nutrient removal and the process requirements to complete the conversions. Design and operations of a plant for nutrient removal and troubleshooting will be reviewed.
