Basic Electricity for Operators

This course will help operators understand what electricity is and how it is put to work in treatment plants. It starts starts with the basics including the flow of free electrons, which is current, and covers types of circuits and their components, types of electric motors and how they work, power distribution and transformers, and general electrical safety.
Many operators are not familiar with how electricity works. It is vital to have a basic understanding of electricity and electrical terms before moving on to troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment. This course is beneficial for new and experienced operators alike.
